School: NC State Drafted/Committed: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 22.3
Fritton ranked as a top-10-rounds talent in the 2024 class as a draft-eligible sophomore, but after a down 2024 season, he elected to return to NC State in 2025 for his junior campaign. This spring, Fritton posted a 4.47 ERA over 17 starts and 86.2 innings, with a 27.5% strikeout rate and 10% walk rate. A 6-foot-1, 195-pound lefthander, Fritton works heavily off his 90-94 mph fastball. The pitch will touch 96 mph, and he has consistently used it at a heavy clip throughout college. He added about two ticks of average velocity in 2025 compared to 2024. Fritton also throws a slurvy breaking ball in the low 80s, but this spring he seemed to scrap a slower, mid-70s curveball that he threw in 2024. Fritton also has a mid-80s changeup. He’ll be 22 on draft day, but an ACC lefty starter with performance and average stuff should have a spot somewhere inside the first 10 rounds.

School: NC State Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 21.3
A 6-foot-1, 193-pound lefthander, Fritton had a standout freshman season for NC State in 2023 when he led the team with a 3.59 ERA and .211 opponent average while striking out 27.8% of the batters he faced and walking just 8.9%. He wasn’t able to replicate that success during his draft-eligible sophomore season in 2024, when he pitched as a full-time starter and posted a 7.64 ERA over 73 innings and 17 starts. Both his command and swing-and-miss stuff backed up this spring, but some scouts still believe in his movement patterns, feel to spin the ball and previous performance to think he’ll bounce back in the future. Fritton throws a 90-93 mph fastball that touches 95. He pitches heavily off the fastball and used it about 70% of the time this spring but has four secondaries including a mid-80s changeup, mid-70s curveball, low-80s slider and rarely-used upper-80s cutter. Fritton seems much more confident in his ability to spot the fastball and will need to sharpen his control of each of his secondaries.
