A 39th round pick by the Tigers in 2012, Sansone began his career at Florida State as a second baseman, before moving to third base this spring. While making the transition, he had a breakout season at the plate, hitting .374/.459/.585 with nine home runs going into super regionals. Sansone, a righthanded hitter, doesn't have loud tools, but has developed a disciplined approach during his career at Florida State. Sansone offers some versatility defensively, and likely profiles best as a utility player. He earns praise for his makeup and understanding of the game.
