Day spent the past two seasons as Missouri’s shortstop, with his senior 2022 season seeing him transform from being an easy out to a solid offensive contributor. He hit .250/.374/.316 in 2021 and .332/.425/.503 in 2022. He had more home runs (seven) this year than he had extra-base-hits (six) in 2021. While Day was much better at the plate, he projects as an org player in pro ball. He’s more likely to play second base or third base everyday in pro ball thanks to slow reactions and limited range.
