A 22-year-old reliever, nothing jumps off the page as it pertains to Koger’s back of the baseball card numbers, but there are some intriguing under-the-hood traits. His fastball generates hardly any swing-and-miss, but it’s been up to 98 with some carry in the top-half of the zone. Koger’s best pitch is undoubtedly his high-80s high-spin, power gyro slider that generated a 46% miss rate this spring. He rounds out his arsenal with a high-70s curveball that—at times—flashes depth.
