School: Ole Miss Drafted/Committed: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 21.3
BA Grade: 45/High
Hill began his college career at Arizona State, where he started as a freshman shortstop and showed a hit-over-power offensive profile. After transferring to Ole Miss in 2024, Hill thrived in SEC play across two seasons and capped his career with a standout 2025 campaign in which he batted .336/.459/.488 with eight home runs, nine doubles, two triples and 18 stolen bases. He had a 15% walk rate and 14% strikeout rate, underscoring his advanced approach. A 6-foot-1, 200-pound righthanded hitter, Hill has a well-proportioned frame and pairs solid bat speed and quick hands with a mechanically-sound swing. He consistently finds the barrel and has done well to limit swing-and-miss throughout his career, with good pitch recognition that allows him to handle both velocity and secondaries. Hill has just modest raw power and has never homered more than eight times in a season. He also doesn’t pull the ball in the air with much frequency, which could be seen either as an area to address in player development or a limitation of his offensive game. While he broke in as a college shortstop, Hill moved primarily to third base in 2025 and handled the transition capably. He’s a solid athlete with enough arm strength and glove skill to play multiple positions at the next level, giving him defensive versatility that should boost his draft value. Though his power ceiling is modest, Hill’s combination of hitting ability, plate discipline and positional flexibility gives him a chance to be selected in the top three rounds, with lots of interest from model-heavy clubs.
Scouting Grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 45 | Run:50 | Field: 50 | Arm: 50.
