Hill began his college career at Arizona State, where he started as a freshman shortstop and showed a hit-over-power offensive profile. After transferring to Ole Miss in 2024, Hill thrived in SEC play across two seasons and capped his career with a standout 2025 campaign in which he batted .336/.459/.488 with eight home runs, nine doubles, two triples and 18 stolen bases. He had a 15% walk rate and 14% strikeout rate, underscoring his advanced approach. A 6-foot-1, 200-pound righthanded hitter, Hill has a well-proportioned frame and pairs solid bat speed and quick hands with a mechanically-sound swing. He consistently finds the barrel and has done well to limit swing-and-miss throughout his career, with good pitch recognition that allows him to handle both velocity and secondaries.
