  Grinsell may not have overpowering stuff, but the 6-foot-1, 195-pound lefthander was at the heart of arguably the best three-year stretch in Oregon baseball history, which included a pair of super regional appearances. Grinsell was second in appearances as a freshman reliever in 2023, then moved into a scattered—albeit effective—starting role in 2024. He followed that up by going 9-3, 3.01 as Oregon’s ace in 2025 over 98.2 innings, the 11th-most in college baseball, where he was in the zone more at the expense of some swing-and-miss. Grinsell has a light fastball that sits in the upper 80s and will touch 92 mph and comes with above-average riding life. His go-to secondary is a changeup in the upper 70s and low 80s, though he will mix in a soft downer mid-70s curveball and a shorter breaking ball variant in the low 80s. The changeup was far and away his best miss option both in and out of the zone in 2025. His experience and fastball-changeup combination could generate plenty of outs in the lower levels, though Grinsell’s present arsenal will be tested against better hitters.
