Boisvert barely pitched in his first two seasons with Duke because of Tommy John surgery, then had a breakout 2024 season as a junior where he posted a 2.16 ERA in 25 innings—mostly working out of the bullpen. He dealt with injuries before the 2024 draft and reportedly turned down solid money so that he could return to Duke for his senior season. But Boisvert barely pitched, throwing just two innings with diminished velocity. When healthy and at his best, Boisvert has a mid-90s fastball with bowling-ball life and velocity that peaks at 97-98 mph. He matches the heater with a mid-80s sweeper that looks like an above-average pitch. Boisvert has a classic two-pitch reliever profile, but with even more risk given his injury track record.
