School: Georgia Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 21.9
Alford is a big and physical first baseman and righthanded hitter with a 6-foot-3, 236-pound frame. He spent his first two seasons at Mississippi State, but transferred to Georgia for the 2024 season, where he’s found more consistent success tapping into his raw power. Alford is a fastball hitter who can put a charge into velocity, but he struggles when pitchers spin the ball and is certainly a power-over-hit offensive profile. He’s played third base, second base and first base in college, but scouts think he’ll be limited to first base in pro ball.
