Tillery is an athletic righthander with long, full arm swing into a fastball that touches 94 mph. With his projectable 6-foot-4 build, there should be another jump in velocity still to come, and it’s a fastball that already has good armside run from his low three-quarters slot. Tillery’s fastball is his best pitch, with his low-to-mid-80s slider his most advanced secondary pitch ahead of his changeup. He shows some feel to spin the slider above 2,500 rpm at times that could become a bigger weapon for him with more refinement.
