Jimenez is a draft-eligible shortstop who started his college career with Miami but transferred to Central Florida for the 2025 season. He was a steady performer this spring, hitting .329/.407/.575 with 11 homers and a 19% strikeout rate, which was a vast improvement after striking out at nearly a 30% clip in a part-time role the previous season. Jimenez has a 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame and an aggressive approach from the right side that comes with some power to the pull side. His track record prior to this season may give some teams pause considering his struggles at Miami and in a 39-game sample in the Cape Cod League in 2024, where he hit .203 with 38 strikeouts albeit with five homers.
