Texas State’s closer, Laws has a big arm with a plus fastball that could one day get to plus-plus. He sat at around 95 mph this year, but he’s flirted with triple digits at his best. In addition to solid velocity, his fastball has well above-average life at the top of the zone, and he matches it well with a promising 86-88 mph slider that gets plenty of swings and misses.
