Rarely do high schoolers from Maine approach Nadeau’s size and fastball quality. His emergence this spring sent scouts scurrying to the Northeast corner of the country this spring. Nadeau is an ultra-physical righthander with a 6-foot-4, 255-pound frame and the stuff to match. After topping out around 93-94 mph in the 2024 summer, Nadeau came out in the 2025 spring throwing harder. He was consistently in the mid 90s with his fastball and ran the pitch up to 97 mph at times, though his velocity was inconsistent from outing to outing. In addition to a big fastball, Nadeau mixes in a pair of breaking pitch shapes in the low-to-mid 80s and will also show a firm, upper-80s changeup. There is real reliever risk with Nadeau given the current quality of his strike-throwing, which wavered at times during his senior spring. He’s also expected to be a tough sign out of his Vanderbilt commitment. Still, he was one of the more notable helium prep names in the Northeast this spring.
