The son of former big leaguer Scott Hairston, Landon enjoyed an outstanding freshman season in which he hit .333/.441/.467 with 17 extra-base hits, 37 RBIs and an impressive walk-to-strikeout ratio of 35-to-23. He is a polished hitter who features advanced barrel skills and sound swing decisions, and he's also flashed power to the pull side. If Hairston is able to pull the ball in the air more, he figures to see an uptick in game power. He has a loose, easy swing, and it's a real hitterish look in the box. In the field, Hairston figures to stick in a corner outfield spot.
