Jenkins is a powerful catcher with a well-developed and strong 6-foot-2, 215-pound frame. He has electric bat speed with above-average raw power, but is a raw pure hitter who will need to make a bit more contact. Defensively, he has a plus throwing arm with great power and carry and the tools to be a solid-or-better defender at the position with more work on his receiving. He’s also a good runner for a catcher and has turned in above-average run times. A Kentucky native, Jenkins is committed to the in-state Wildcats.
