Stein is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound shortstop and righthanded hitter who performs everywhere he goes. He hit at a high clip at all the events he attended in 2024 including loud showings at Perfect Game’s national showcase, the East Coast Pro and in Jupiter during the fall. Stein has a sound offensive approach and excellent contact skills. He rarely swings and misses with standout hand-eye coordination, solid bat speed and a fairly compact bat path. Stein has the actions to stick in the infield with enough arm strength for the left side.
