Salerno has a strong build with advanced pitchability for his age. He’s a high-level strike thrower, pitching off a fastball that grew throughout 2025 to reach 96 mph and plays up due to his ability to generate extension out front from a lower release height. Salerno has feel to spin a sharp slider that has good sweep across the zone. He throws an occasional changeup that isn’t as advanced as his slider, but he does a good job of executing both pitches down consistently to fill the zone and rack up strikeouts.
