Wake Forest shortstop Marek Houston is one of the top prospects in the 2025 draft. Graham, his younger brother, is another talented shortstop. Houston is a switch-hitter with a simple, balanced swing on both sides that’s especially advanced as a lefty. He has an aggressive approach with good bat control, making contact at a high clip with gap power. Houston’s coordination shows at the plate and in the field. He ranges well to both sides with clean, secure hands. He has quick reactions off the bat, takes good angles to the ball, has a good internal clock and features the body control needed to make difficult plays on the run.
