Ball is a 6-foot, 185-pound middle infielder and lefthander hitter who boasts a clean lefthanded swing and has more raw power than his frame might suggest. His 2024 East Coast Pro batting practice was one of the most impressive of the event, though when game time came, Ball showed a significant amount of swing-and-miss and went hitless in 11 plate appearances. He’s a plus runner with solid infield actions that should keep him in the middle of the dirt, but his pure hit questions could lead him to campus at Virginia Tech, where he’ll get a chance to prove his bat in the ACC.
