  Meola is a glove first shortstop who assumed the everyday starting job at Stetson in his 2023 freshman season. He has quick, reliable middle infield actions and seems like a safe bet to stick at the position at the next level, though adding a bit more arm strength could help secure that profile. Meola has historically been a light hitter and struggled with the bat in the Cape Cod League in 2024, but began showing a bit more life in the box early during the 2025 season. He’s a smaller righthanded hitter who doesn’t project for much power, but might be able to manage his strikeouts, take walks at a decent clip and drive soft line drives to the middle of the field.
