LaPour last year was a member of Wichita State’s weekend rotation from the get-go and worked a 4.23 ERA with 69 strikeouts in 78.2 innings. He entered the portal this summer and eventually committed to TCU, where he’s off to a strong start. LaPour has a workhorse frame with particular strength and physicality in his lower half. He has big-time arm strength and is armed with a mid-to-upper-90s fastball that plays well in the top half of the zone, a low-to-mid-80s slider whose shape will vary and and an upper-80s changeup that flashes both armside fade and late tumble. -
