At 6-foot-6, 185 pounds, Cox is a tall, gangly pitcher with a fastball up to 89 mph and the look of a pitcher who should be into the mid 90s once he packs on more weight. For a young, long-limbed pitcher, Cox does a good job of throwing strikes, and his fastball plays up already because of the extension he’s able to generate. He also shows feel for a changeup that’s ahead of his breaking stuff.
