School: Kingsburg (Calif.) HS Committed: LSU. Age At Draft: 18.5
Hirschkorn was one of the biggest up-arrow prospects from the 2025 showcase circuit after turning in one of the most dominant outings scouts have seen at the Area Code Games. Pitching for the NorCal-based A’s team, Hirschkorn threw three innings, faced nine batters and sat all nine down on swinging strikeouts while showing a loud three-pitch mix. At 6-foot-7, 205 pounds, Hirschkorn has an elite pitcher’s frame with tons of room to fill out and add more strength. He works with a smooth and controlled delivery out of a three-quarters slot and throws a fastball that was consistently in the 92-95 mph range and up to 96. He bullies hitters in the zone with his fastball and then shows two promising secondaries to collect whiffs. The first is an 81-83 mph slider with 10-to-4 shape that’s a consistent swing-and-miss pitch to righties. The second is a firm, 86-89 mph changeup that gives him a miss offering vs. lefties. It’s a starter look with a body to dream on to go with both present stuff and strike-throwing polish. -
