He’s been an impressive performer in high school and on the travel circuit for years, and has a fastball that sits in the low 90s and has been up to 96 mph. Cazares pitches heavily off his fastball, but he does spin a solid slider in the mid 80s that he spins in the 2,200-2,500 rpm range. While the fastball/slider combination accounts for most of his pitches, he will mix in the rare low-80s changeup. Cazares is committed to Stanford. -
