Rojas is one of the premier pitchers in the 2026 high school class. He has a tall, projectable frame with a sound delivery, good flexibility and room to add to a power fastball that’s already sitting 92-96 mph and touches 97 from his low three-quarters slot. It’s easy, low-effort velocity that gets on hitters quickly and he pairs it with a sharp slider that has good depth and sweep across the zone, giving him a swing-and-miss pitch against both lefties and righties. Rojas has a low-80s changeup, but it’s a third pitch that he doesn’t use much. With pitchability that’s advanced for his age to go with his high-end stuff and low-effort mechanics, Rojas has the look of a high-upside starter who could be one of the first pitchers off the board in the 2026 draft. -
School: Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS, Parkland, Fla. Committed/Drafted: Miami. Age At Draft: 19.0
Rojas is one of the premier pitchers in the 2026 class and a favorite to be one of the first arms off the board on draft day. He has a tall, projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds with a sound delivery, good flexibility and a low three-quarters slot. Rojas throws a fastball that’s consistently in the 92-96 mph range and has touched 98 with incredible ease and great arm speed. While he pitches heavily off the fastball, he does have a pair of promising secondaries. His low-80s slider is a high-spin pitch in the 2,600-2,800 rpm range and features impressive depth and sweep. It’s an above-average pitch that could become plus and is a consistent swing-and-miss offering vs. lefties right now. Occasionally, the pitch is thrown harder and flashes more of a shorter cutter look. Rojas also has a low-80s changeup—also a high-spin pitch—that is currently behind his fastball/slider combo. While Rojas established a reputation as an advanced strike-thrower, he was more scattered than expected throughout the 2025 showcase circuit. Rojas was one of the top arms on a gold medal-winning Team USA team. He made two starts, didn’t allow a run and struck out 13 batters while walking just three. Rojas is committed to Miami.
