Taylor is a physically developed righthander with a 6-foot-2, 215-pound frame and a chance for above-average control. He’s consistently thrown his fastball in the low 90s and been up to 95 mph and has a chance for an average sweeping slider around 80 mph and a changeup of similar quality in the mid 80s. Taylor has also thrown a slower curveball in the low to mid 70s with a bit more downward depth but the slider/changeup are his most consistent secondaries currently. Taylor throws with a deep arm action from a lower three-quarters slot but his advanced fastball command points towards a safe starter profile. He’s committed to Georgia and hails from the same Buford High School that produced 2022 first rounder righthander Dylan Lesko.
