As a freshman, Lim pitched his way into Stanford’s weekend rotation and compiled a 4.32 ERA with 86 strikeouts across 77 innings. He’s undersized, but Lim has a thick lower half. His low-90s fastball has a dead-zone profile, but it flashes a bit of life to the arm side. Lim’s upper-70s-to-low-80s changeup is an above-average offering that flashes late tumble, and he also has a pair of breaking balls in his arsenal. His high-70s-to-low-80s slider has long, lateral life and is a particular weapon against lefthanded hitters, while his curveball takes on a slurvey look at times. The former is the better of the two. Upping his competitive pitch percentage will only benefit Lim, who projects as a starter professionally.
