Track Record: After starring in two sports at his Florida high school, Lindsey was selected by the Dodgers with the 21st overall pick in 2024. He signed for $3,297,500 and turned pro instead of landing on campus at Florida. He got his first pro experience at instructional league in 2024, but his first year in affiliated ball was limited to just 32 games at Low-A because of an impingement in his right shoulder. His season ended on May 14.
Scouting Report: The Dodgers knew Lindsey’s development would be a little bit of a project, but they believed his 80-grade speed, defense and athleticism would at least give him a solid floor. He spent his first year as a pro working on a swing change that would help him stay behind the ball longer and turn more of his contact into impact. In limited action, Lindsey did a solid job staying within the zone but swung and missed at rates higher than would be ideal. Scouts attributed those whiffs to the transition to his new swing. Defensively, Lindsey is an athletic player whose blazing speed would fit well at shortstop or in center field. Given his injury, it’s understandable that his throws were a bit wonky in 2025.
The Future: In 2026, Lindsey will get a second chance at a first impression. Once his shoulder heals, he will return to Low-A Rancho Cucamonga. In the California League, he’ll look to get used to his new swing and make his profile more complete.
