Weinstein developed an excellent reputation as a polished pure hitter as an underclassman and pairs that with a solid collection of tools. He’s a 6-foot-1, 190-pound shortstop and lefthanded hitter who shows a calm, quiet swing with a line-drive path and contact skills at his best. He had a down 2025 circuit with more modest performance than his track record would have suggested, and he should always have more of a hit-over-power offensive profile. He’s a solid defender with good instincts in the field but is just a fringe-average runner with an arm that could be better suited for second base at the next level. Weinstein is committed to LSU and will be a draft-eligible sophomore if he makes it to campus. -
