Bailey is a hulking lefthanded slugger with a 6-foot-4, 235-pound frame and some of the best raw power in the class. His frame and lefty raw power have drawn some comparisons to 2022 first-rounder Xavier Isaac, though Bailey at least has a chance to play either third base or a corner outfield position and has a less refined hit tool. While first base is his most likely home in the long run, scouts have praised his athleticism for his size. Bailey has a wide stance with his weight shifted to his back foot before firing a steep, uphill bat path that’s designed for impact in the air. While he has plenty of swing-and-miss, Bailey did a nice job staying within the zone on his swing decisions and showed more than enough in-game impact ability to all fields to live with some strikeouts. He’ll be 19 on draft day and is committed to Florida State, though his 70-grade power potential could make him a top-five round pick.

School:Florida State Age At Draft: 0.0
Drafted: White Sox ’24 (20)
Even though he only just completed his freshman season, Bailey has the most immense raw power of anyone in the 2026 class. He showed no issue getting to it in-game this spring and hit .327/.441/.663 with 30 extra-base hits, including 19 home runs. The impact Bailey is able to generate is unbelievably impressive. He posted an average exit velocity of 96.9 mph, a 90th percentile exit velocity of 112.1 and multiple batted balls over 115. Bailey has a massive, imposing frame and a swing that’s geared towards getting the ball up in the air and doing damage. He has no shortage of present bat speed and has shown the ability to drive the baseball with plenty of authority to all fields. He has top-of-the-scale raw power, but the biggest question mark in his profile is whether or not he’ll make enough contact to continue to get to it in-game on a regular basis. Bailey’s contact skills are well-below-average and he posted a measly overall contact rate of just 59%. Bailey moves rather well for someone of his size, but he will remain at first base professionally. -

Bailey is a gargantuan slugger with a 6-foot-4, 265-pound frame and some of the most impressive raw power you’ll find in the 2026 class—or the country in general. He showed 70-grade raw power as a high schooler and immediately showcased it as a freshman with Florida State by homering 19 times and producing some of the gaudiest exit velocities in the nation. Bailey’s swing is geared to tap into his power with extreme steepness that leads to eye-popping home runs to all fields, but it also comes with significant contact questions. In his 2025 freshman season, he struck out a 31% clip with an overall contact rate of just 59%—both poor numbers. He’ll need to hit because, while he does run well for his size, he should be limited to first base in pro ball. -
