As an underclassman, Moss developed a reputation as one of the most dangerous offensive threats in the 2025 class. He has a sound mix of hitting ability, plate discipline and impact, and also has a fairly extensive track record of high-level performance on the showcase circuit and at plenty of high-profile travel ball events. Listed at 6-feet, 180 pounds, Moss employs an extremely high handset that drops down to a more conventional shoulder-high set in his load, which features a toe tap and standard stride in his lower half. He has solid barrel skills and can use the entire field, with a savvy batting eye that leads to good takes and should lead to strong walk rates at the next level. Moss will flash some pullside power but he has just modest raw power and lacks the sort of physical projection to dream of much more coming. Moss is a solid-average runner at his best, and he plays center field for IMG Academy. While his outfield instincts are solid, he might be stretched at the position at the next level and be a better defensive fit for an outfield corner. Scouts view him as a tweener outfield profile—not dissimilar to Jon Jay—without the power to profile in right and the footspeed that might be stretched in center. Because of that, there’s plenty of pressure on his pure hitting ability. Moss is committed to LSU and will be 19 on draft day.
