Marco Raya

A 6-foot-1, 170-pound prep righthander, Raya appeared to be on the rise when the 2020 season shut down. He is one of the youngest players in the class and will still be 17 on draft day, but he already has a 90-94 mph fastball and shows an advanced ability to spin two breaking balls. His curveball is an 80 mph power breaker that projects at least above-average and his slider will flash plus. He also flashes some feel for a changeup. Raya isn’t particularly big, and some scouts wonder how much weight his frame will allow him to add. But with a low 90s fastbal and advanced secondaries, he stands to make an immediate impact if he gets to campus at Texas Tech.
