A physical, 6-foot-2, 215-pound righthander, Weston was a second team All Big Ten Conference pitcher in 2021, when he posted a 2.81 ERA over 14 starts and 83.1 innings. His 2022 season wasn’t quite as sharp despite a better strikeout rate, and he posted a 4.74 ERA over 11 starts and 81.2 innings, with some work out of the bullpen included. Weston sits around 90-91 with his fastball but has been up to 96 this spring, and he also throws a low-80s split-change and slider, with the changeup used more frequently and thrown for strikes more often of the two secondaries. Following the spring season with Michigan, Weston pitched 21.1 innings in the Cape Cod League, posting a 0.84 ERA and striking out 21 batters while walking just five.
