Andrew Jenkins

A consistent performer for Georgia Tech, Jenkins hit over .300 in each of his first three seasons with the Yellow Jackets, culminating in a .381/.440/.679 slash line in 2022 with 17 home runs and 22 doubles. A 6-foot, 217-pound first baseman, Jenkins might be athletic enough to handle a corner outfield spot, though most scouts view him as a first baseman at the next level. He has above-average power and solid exit velocities, but that power has also come with some swing-and-miss and chase tendencies. He’s struck out at a 23% rate throughout his collegiate career and that mark was similar in his 2022 season at 21.8%. Jenkins also struggled against 93-plus mph velocity which could be a concern at the next level. More extensive wood bat track record might give pro teams more confidence in his hit tool, though his ACC production speaks for itself.
