A big, 6-foot-4, 225-pound senior with plenty of arm strength out of a strong body, Stevenson has gotten his fastball up to 97 mph and pitches in the 90-95 mph range. His secondaries need work and he's never had much real success at Minnesota, with a career 5.87 ERA over four seasons while walking more than 6.6 batters per nine innings. A team could take a flier on his natural arm strength as a money saver.
