Sahid Valenzuela

Valenzuela started all three years in Cal State Fullerton’s middle infield, including as a freshman in the 2017 College World Series. He is an undersized, 5-foot-9 switch-hitter who controls the strike zone and plays a savvy game, but he lacks impact and isn’t a threat to steal bases. His junior year was cut short after he had Tommy John surgery in early May. Valenzuela’s lack of size or tools pushes him outside of the top 10 rounds for most evaluators, especially now with his surgery.
