A transfer from John A Logan (Ill.) JC, Gordon has an above-average spin rate and excellent extension which helps his 90-94 mph fastball get swings and misses. He had an excellent start to his Indiana career, racking up double-digit strikeouts in back-to-back games, but he wore down later in the season. Gordon went 6-6, 3.81 with 90 strikeouts in 87.1 innings.
