An attractive senior sign, Beddes was Utah Valley's workhorse as it won the WAC tournament title. He ranked second in the league in strikeouts and logged 100 innings heading into regional play. He has a big, durable 6-foot-5, 230-pound body and works off a 90-94 mph fastball, touching 95 in the tournament, complemented by a low-80s curveball. He also throws a cutter.
