Persico has played first, second and third base in his UCLA career, primarily playing third in 2016, a disappointing one for him and the Bruins. Well put-together at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Persico doesn't have any plus tools and hasn't figured out how to consistently get to his raw power, with just six home runs in three seasons. Persico booted some routine plays early at third base but should have the footwork to stay there, though his average arm may fit better at second.
