The Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher of the Year in 2017, Royalty posted a 3.20 ERA in 98 innings last season with 106 strikeouts and 25 walks. His junior year wasn’t quite as impressive, as Royalty’s ERA jumped to 4.70 through 90 innings, but he has solid stuff across the board if not a plus pitch, with a fringe-average fastball, average breaking ball and interesting split-changeup.
