A.J. Bogucki

A Pennsylvania prep product, Bogucki made six starts combined in his first two seasons at UNC while accumulating 40 total innings. He found consistent work as a junior reliever, though it made him harder to scout. Big-bodied at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Bogucki is mostly a two-pitch pitcher at this stage, working off a fastball that can reach 96 but usually sits 91-93 mph, and a hard, low-80s slider that earns some plus grades. He started in the Northwoods League during the summer of 2015, and a team that thinks he can start could take him in the eight to tenth round.
