Coming into the season, it wasn’t exactly a secret that Peter O’Brien had big-time power. He socked 38 in three seasons at Bethune-Cookman, then 10 more in his senior season with the Miami Hurricanes.
The Yankees’ second-round choice in 2011 has lived up to his credentials so far in pro ball. He’s smashed 32 bombs across his first two seasons, including 22 this year between Charleston and Tampa.
