The Astros continue to stockpile minor league free agent position player depth with this batch of signings. All these players, plus Travis Buck from last week, have track records in Triple-A and could receive lengthy auditions in Houston if things break in their favor. That's essentially how astute waiver claims like Jason Bourgeois and Wilton Lopez got their starts with the organization.

Kansas City Royals
RHP Yeliar Castro, LHP Francisley Bueno (Monterrey (Mexican)), LHP Alejandro Viloria, 2B Eric Duncan, 3B Mario Lisson (re-signed)

Francisley Bueno has bounced around the Mexican League the past two seasons, touching down briefly in Korea in ’10. He hasn't pitched in affiliated ball since ’09, which he spent in Triple-A with the Braves. Like Bueno, Yeliar Castro also has roots in the Braves system.
