"I knew he had good stuff," Buck said. "That’s obvious. That’s why he’s a top prospect. But to see his stuff (this spring), to catch it and also hit off of it, the sharpness of his pitches — I don’t remember them being that sharp last year.
"He’s getting a lot of reactions from hitters, like double looks. That tells you he’s got some sharp stuff right now."
The top pick in the 2006 draft, Hochevar appears to be headed back to Triple-A Omaha to begin the 2008 season.
