Francoeur Duped In Elaborate Prank (VIDEO)

Former major league outfielder Jeff Francoeur, playing for the Padres’ Triple-A El Paso affiliate, fell for an elaborate ruse by teammates who convinced him that relief pitcher Jorge Reyes was deaf.

The prank at the expense of the former Braves, Mets, Royals and Giants outfielder lasted a month before the Chihuahuas mercifully let Francoeur in on the joke.

Francoeur didn’t catch on, despite watching multiple mound conferences in which the catcher spoke to Reyes while covering his mouth with his glove.

The video was directed by fellow Chihuahua Cody Decker.
