Prospects Worth Seeing: Thanks to a very good year for talent in the Florida State League, this should be an excellent game for prospect watchers. Fort Myers third baseman Miguel Sano (Twins) leads off any list of FSL players to watch. Sano has some of the best power in the game and he’s also shown that he’s a better third baseman defensively than his reputation would indicate. He’s joined in the South infield by Bradenton shortstop Alen Hanson (Pirates). Hanson’s Bradenton teammate Gregory Polanco (Pirates) is one of the best center field prospects in the game with excellent speed and power.

The South pitching staff is loaded as well thanks to Jesse Hahn (Rays), Nick Kingham (Pirates), Justin Nicolino (Blue Jays) and Noah Syndergaard (Mets).

The North team does not have as many premium prospects, but the Daytona combination of shortstop Javier Baez (Cubs) and Jorge Soler (Cubs) does give the team two of the better prospects around. Tampa catcher Gary Sanchez (Yankees) still has work to do on his defense, but he’s one of the better offensive prospects at catcher in the minors.
