Dodgers’ Garcia Suspended Again

Dodgers second baseman Sergio Garcia was suspended for 100 games by Minor League Baseball today for failing a second performance-enhancing drugs test. His first failed test was announced in June 2005.

Signed by the Dodgers as a nondrafted free agent from Arizona State in 2002, Garcia was playing second base and shortstop for Triple-A Las Vegas. The 27-year-old was hitting .292/.355/.448 with eight home runs in 250 at-bats.
