Ramon Laureano, the No. 20 prospect in the California League and a part of the first AFL Hot Sheet last week, was chosen as the first Arizona Fall League player of the week.

Laureano, 22, hit .571 and led the AFL in runs, hits, triples, stolen bases and total bases.

Laureano was one of three Astros draft picks from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M JC in 2014 and he had a breakout season in 2016. He led all minor league batters with a .428 on-base percentage this season and swiped 43 bases in 57 tries.
