Round One is in the books. The votes have been tallied and 16 teams are moving on to face a new foe in Baseball America's Logomania challenge.

Traditional powers like the Durham Bulls—who bill themselves as "minor league baseball's most iconic logo"—and the Albuquerque Isotopes—who have embraced their "Simpsons" background with one of baseball's most unique looks—rolled to Round One victories. The Flying Squirrels soared to the largest margin of victory in the first round—garnering 69.5 percent of the votes in their matchup with the Greensboro Grasshoppers—and the mighty Manatees of Brevard County rolled past the Spokane Indians with a 66 percent tally.

Meanwhile, many brackets were like busted when the upstart Biloxi Shuckers—who have yet to play a home game—knocked off the Lake Elsinore Storm, whose iconic "Eyes" logo is displayed on caps of Little Leaguers everywhere. Biloxi now takes on second-year franchise El Paso, whose Chihuahua is one of the most controversial and best-selling logos in the minors.

Several contests came down to the wire and were decided by fewer than 100 votes, including the Toledo Mud Hens’ 51.1 percent over 48.9 percent win over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. The Mud Hens move on to face International League-rival Durham in the second round.

It's time now to embrace May Madness and get out the vote for your favorite team. The second round runs through Sunday at midnight and quarterfinal matchups will be posted here Monday morning.
