Pirates Defend Boot Camp Training

The Pirates took a non-traditional approach to the first three days of their instructional league camp and it raised plenty of eyebrows around the game. The Pirates' prospects did not take part in any baseball drills for those three days. Instead, they underwent intensive Navy SEAL physical training that included six-man teams carrying telephone poles across the beach on Anna Maria Island off the coast of Bradenton.
