His Time Has Come

Curtis Thigpen used to be considered the cream of the Blue Jays' crop of catching prospects. The catching situation has since strengthened with the progress made by J.P. Arencibia and Brian Jeroloman. It means the future has arrived for Thigpen. Spring training in 2009 could determine whether that future includes Thigpen as a backup to Rod Barajas, who will be back after taking over the No. 1 job from Gregg Zaun.
